What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They are widely used to make sites work, keep them secure, and remember preferences. This policy explains how stateofstick.co (the "Site") uses them.
Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or marketing trackers. Connected experiences use a 30-minute first-party session by default. Optional repeat-visit analytics is off unless you affirmatively enable it below.
Technology we use
Strictly necessary
- Form security challenge — loads only on pages containing protected forms and may use security data or cookies to distinguish people from automated abuse.
- PayPal checkout — loads on the ArtPrize project page. If you open or use checkout, PayPal may set cookies or use similar technologies under its own policies to process payment, prevent fraud, and provide eligible payment methods.
- Admin session — a first-party, secure, HTTP-only session cookie set only when an authorized team member signs in to our private sales-operations area.
- First-party session state — a 30-minute HTTP-only cookie connects intentional actions within one connected experience, such as tap → content → offer → form.
- Optional repeat-visit analytics — if you enable it, a first-party visit identifier may remain for up to 180 days so separate intentional visits can be counted as returning engagement. It is not shared for advertising, and you can withdraw the preference below.
- Supporter intake storage — session storage carries verified payment details into the supporter intake, and local storage can preserve an unfinished intake draft on that device. It is removed after successful submission or can be cleared through your browser.
- Optional consent or experience state — when a venue, sponsor, or campaign experience asks you to opt into a feature, first-party storage may remember that choice or keep the experience coherent during the session.
- Privacy-notice preference — local storage remembers that you dismissed our essential-technology notice so it does not appear on every visit.
Essential and session technologies support a service you request or protect the Site. The notice on the Site is informational; clicking "Got it" only remembers that it was dismissed. Optional repeat-visit recognition is controlled separately below.
Analytics preferences
Session-only measurement is the default. You may optionally allow us to recognize that the same browser returned to another State of Stick connected experience. Refusing or withdrawing does not block tags, content, claims, forms, checkout, or authentication.
Third-party services
Retail purchases happen on our Depop storefront, which applies its own cookie practices after you leave our Site. Payment and form-security providers also apply their own privacy and cookie terms when their checkout or security features are used. We do not control third-party cookies on their services.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may cause parts of the Site, including form submission, checkout, intake recovery, or private sign-in, to stop working.
